What you'll do:
Lead day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and internal material movements.
Establish, maintain, and continuously improve, warehouse operations to support the transition from product development to commercialization.
Supervise and coach warehouse staff, setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, and supporting ongoing training and development.
Establish processes for ensuring inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliations, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
Maintain strong relationships with logistics service providers (freight carriers, parcel carriers, 3PLs) and support resolution of delivery issues.
Develop and maintain appropriate shipping, import and export documentation to ensure smooth transport of materials.
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments of materials to maintain appropriate stocking levels.
Coordinate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, R&D, and Quality to prioritize orders, material requests, and production support.
Establish and monitor warehouse KPIs (accuracy, on-time delivery, productivity, safety) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop and implement processes for regular review of inventory to segregate expired, deteriorated or damaged materials and process them out of inventory appropriately.
Maintain a safe, organized, and audit-ready warehouse environment, ensuring compliance with EHS and quality requirements.
Implement and oversee proper handling, labeling, and storage of materials, including temperature-sensitive and hazardous goods, in line with company policies.
Support and enforce procedures for returns, nonconforming materials, and scrap, including documentation and disposition.
Collaborate with Supply Chain and Finance to support inventory audits and resolve discrepancies.
Contribute to the implementation and optimization of warehouse systems, tools, and workflows (e.g., ERP, barcode scanning, location strategies).
What you need:
3–5+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or materials management, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
Experience in a manufacturing, medical device, pharma, or other regulated/technical environment is an asset.
Solid understanding of inventory control practices, warehouse processes, and basic supply chain principles.
Comfort working with ERP/WMS systems and using spreadsheets or reports to track and manage inventory and performance.
Forklift certification and experience.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and hold teams accountable.
Proven ability to prioritize, organize, and execute in a fast-paced environment with changing demands.
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Bonus points for:
Experience supporting cleanroom, lab, or controlled-environment material flows.
Familiarity with dangerous goods, cold-chain handling, or specialized storage requirements.
Experience with lean, 5S, or other warehouse/process improvement methodologies.
Background in start-up or scale-up environments.

Please note: For the Greater Toronto area, the expected salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $95,000 CAD.
Compensation will be determined based on the individual’s demonstrated experience, education, training, relevant certifications or licensure, and other applicable business and organizational factors.
