The Role
Solink is looking for a People & Culture Generalist to join our team. This role is a key part of the People Operations team, which designs and manages the systems and processes that create an outstanding employee experience for everyone at Solink. The Generalist will collaborate closely with team members and support day-to-day People & Culture activities. This position reports directly to the Senior Manager, People Operations and is based in either Ottawa or Toronto, with an in-office presence required at least two days per week.
What You’ll Do
Employee Journey Support: Deliver exceptional service to our employees and leaders by promptly addressing inquiries regarding our policies and various employee programs. This includes owning the onboarding program, managing the offboarding process and responding to employee inquiries, etc.
Team Support: Supporting the team with various initiatives such as position changes, salary increases, performance management, compensation reviews, etc.
Administrative Support: Handling administrative tasks related to P&C programs such as managing employee files, maintaining our HRIS (BambooHR), managing employee leaves (STD, LTD, mat & pat leave) and owning employee onboarding & offboarding end to end. Ensure our systems and processes are maintained while also creating and updating People Operations internal & external documentation. Creation & management of a new People Operations space that best supports our team is a critical part of this role.
Programs/Key Initiatives: Collaborate & support the People team through developing, iterating and rolling out employee programs, such as performance management, annual compensation review and employee engagement programs to enhance the employee experience. The employee would be responsible for owning & executing on the initiatives end to end.
Internal Events: Assisting with planning & executing key internal events, including Solympics, Solinko & our holiday party.
Compliance: Ensuring compliance with HR policies, procedures, health & safety and applicable laws and regulations.
P&C Reporting: Owning the preparation of reports and analytics (ie. metrics, attrition, engagement survey, etc.)
What You Bring
You have 3+ years of people & culture experience, ideally within SaaS and a fast paced & high growth environment.
You have a growth mindset and adopt a fail fast, learn fast mentality.
You are a go getter and excited to roll up your sleeves and contribute to all parts of the People Operations team.
You have experience working within HR systems (bonus points if you have experience working with Bamboo, Asana, Ashby, Lattice & TeamOhana).
You have a keen eye for detail, have a problem solving mindset and have a genuine curiosity for leveraging people data/analytics for business insights.
Have a high sense of urgency and a desire to provide world class customer service to employees.
You have a strong sense of urgency and take steps to address challenges and are a keen problem solver.
