Sales Engineer, Enterprise and Channel Connectivity
About SIMO & This Role
SIMO builds AI-driven, cloud-based connectivity technology that eliminates the need for physical SIM cards. Our virtual SIM platform and SignalScan engine use real-time AI to evaluate networks and intelligently select the best available carrier across 140+ countries. This powers seamless wireless WAN connectivity for enterprise failover, mobility, and embedded integrations in routers and edge devices.
A core pillar of our growth is SIMO ON, our enterprise wireless failover and multi-carrier connectivity solution for routers and edge devices. SIMO ON gives enterprises a more resilient and flexible approach to WAN continuity, and this role is central to helping customers adopt and scale it.
As we expand into enterprise networking, channel, and OEM markets, we are hiring a Sales Engineer who is excited by complex connectivity challenges and motivated by building in a new space. This is a customer-facing, pre-sales technical role where you’ll help enterprise IT teams, MSPs, VARs, and connectivity providers understand how our technology works, and how to deploy it successfully.
You will lead technical discovery, solution design, demos, PoCs, and early deployment guidance.
Because much of your collaboration will be with our APAC engineering and product teams, U.S. based candidates must be comfortable with flexible hours for cross-time-zone meetings. If you are a proactive problem solver who enjoys shaping early-stage technical processes and working hands-on with cutting-edge connectivity technology, you’ll thrive in this role and help define how SIMO ON scales globally.
Core Responsibilities
· Pre-Sales Discovery & Technical Demos
Partner with account executives to understand enterprise networking needs and design SIMO ON architectures, primarily for wireless WAN failover. Deliver concise, high-impact demos that show how SIMO ON improves router resilience and continuity.
· POCs & Guided Initial Deployment
Own the technical execution of failover POCs. Help customers configure routers/edge devices and validate SIMO ON performance. Handoff occurs after initial deployment.
· Router/CPE Integration Guidance (Not Firmware Engineering)
Advise customers on how to use SIMO ON across common router ecosystems (Cradlepoint, Peplink, Inseego, Sierra Wireless/Semtech, Teltonika, etc.). Provide configuration guidance and best practices without diving into OEM firmware development or deep hardware engineering.
· Channel Partner Technical Readiness (Outcome-Driven)
Train partners so they can deploy SIMO ON without us. Build repeatable playbooks, deployment guides, and training paths that enable partners to run their own demos, POCs, and installations with minimal SIMO involvement. This role empowers scale..
· Internal Collaboration & Technical Feedback Loops
Provide structured field insights to product and engineering; compatibility issues, deployment friction, enterprise failover needs, and features that accelerate SIMO ON adoption. You are a signal router, not a project manager.
Example Use Cases
· Enterprise wireless WAN failover for retail, branch offices, and distributed locations
· Router integration for LTE and 5G primary and backup connectivity
· Channel partners adding SIMO ON to their managed service offerings
Required Experience
· Strong experience with routing, networking fundamentals, wireless WAN, failover, VPN, and SD-WAN
· Familiarity with enterprise SaaS technologies and cloud-based networking.
· Hands-on familiarity with router and edge device ecosystems such as Cradlepoint, Peplink, Inseego, Sierra Wireless (Semtech), Teltonika, or similar vendors
· Proven success in technical sales (pre-sales, solution design, technical customer engagement)
· Experience working with MNOs, MVNOs, or ISPs; familiarity with SIM, eSIM, multi-IMSI, or global roaming solutions
· Strong organizational and communication skills with both technical and business audiences
· Experience in fast-paced, autonomous organizations.
· Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience
· Must be fluent in English, Mandarin a plus
