Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in deploying and maintaining our platform on federal government servers.
You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our applications, while working closely with other engineers to streamline our development and deployment processes. This position requires a strong technical background, a proactive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a regulated environment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Provision and manage on-premise servers.
Deploy and manage critical applications on a cloud-native microservices architecture, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
Establish and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments (testing, staging, and production) using tools like ArgoCD.
Continuously improve and optimize the deployment pipeline, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
Work with databases: MongoDB, ClickHouse, and PostgreSQL.
Utilize data tools like Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Flink.
Implement observability using Open Telemetry.
Develop and maintain solutions for operational administration, system/data backup, disaster recovery, and security/performance monitoring.
Design and implement secure automation solutions for development, testing, and production environments.
Build and deploy automation, monitoring, and analysis solutions.
Participate in an on-call rotation to address critical incidents.
Write and maintain documentation to support security standards on federal environments.
Work with various teams to facilitate orderly project execution.
Requirements
Experience working in a US federal government environment.
Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures and federal Cyber and DevOps requirements.
Experience creating documentation to support security standards on federal environments, specifically on FEDRAMP environments.
Active PIV card preferred; otherwise, candidates must be eligible and able to complete the PIV card application and issuance process per HSPD-12.
5+ years of experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex DevOps solutions.
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and tools, and a commitment to fully automated deployments.
Advanced knowledge of Linux systems administration, networking, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with telemetry (metrics, traces, logs)
Experience working with on-premise server infrastructure.
Project development and leadership skills.
Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of complex technical issues.
Professional experience and a high-level understanding of working with various operating systems.
BSc degree and/or Certifications in Computer Science, System Administration or other relevant fields is considered an advantage.
