We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Energy Intelligence Analyst to join our growing team. In this critical role, you will leverage data-driven insights to optimize energy consumption and drive sustainability initiatives for our clients.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and sustainability, to develop and implement innovative solutions that reduce energy costs, minimize environmental impact, and enhance operational efficiency for our clients.
Responsibilities:
Metering Configuration & Setup: Support in the collection, validation, configuration and analysis of energy consumption data from various metering systems and sources. Develop and maintain energy consumption models to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement. Reviewing, configuring & verifying accurate & sufficient metering documentation for reporting & data analytics
Drive sustainability initiatives: Support the development and implementation of corporate sustainability strategies, including carbon reduction targets, renewable energy procurement, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting.
Support sustainability reporting: Prepare sustainability reports, such as the annual sustainability report, carbon footprint analysis, and other ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) disclosures.
Utilize sustainability metrics and KPIs: Track and communicate progress against key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with sustainability goals.
Optimize energy systems: Identify and evaluate potential energy efficiency measures, such as building retrofits, renewable energy integration, and demand-side management programs.
Develop actionable insights: Translate complex data into clear, concise, and impactful reports and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders and drive decision-making.
Stay abreast of industry trends: Continuously monitor and analyze emerging technologies, market trends, and regulatory developments in the energy sector.
Conduct in-depth data analysis: Collect, cleanse, and analyze large volumes of energy data from diverse sources, including smart meters, building management systems, and utility bills.
Collaborate effectively: Work closely with cross-functional teams, clients, and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives and build strong relationships.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Environmental Science, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in energy analysis, data analysis, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and complex systems.
Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, including Python, SQL, R, Tableau, Power BI, and statistical software.
Experience with energy management software, building automation systems, and energy modeling tools.
Knowledge of energy markets, utility rate structures, and energy regulations.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Passion for sustainability and a strong desire to contribute to a more sustainable future.
Experience with sustainability reporting frameworks and benchmarking initiatives (e.g., GRI, SASB, Energy Star, NABERS, Green Star, BREEAM, GRESB, LEED, LL97, BERDO).
Bonus Points:
Experience with machine learning, artificial intelligence, or predictive analytics.
Familiarity with other energy or similar data platforms.
Experience with coding languages such as Python, SQL, or similar programming languages.
Certifications in energy management (e.g., CEM, CMVP)
