KODE Labs is seeking a talented Accounting Intern to join our team.
We are looking for a passionate, curious individual focused on accounting for cloud/SaaS technologies in aligning reporting and business processes to enhance performance. A successful candidate will demonstrate an entrepreneurial approach and skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and process improvement along with excellent technical skills to support a fast-paced, growing, international technology startup.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Work closely with the accounting team and management to contribute to ongoing accounting & business initiatives
Collaborate cross functionally to absorb knowledge and gain practical accounting & business experience
Use problem-solving and technical skills in collaboration with cross functional teams
Offer timely and proactive assistance, ensuring ongoing support to team members
Display a strong enthusiasm and effectively tackle challenges within the KODE platform
Assist with research, documentation, accounting deliverables, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate accounts and account analysis for reliable and relevant financial reporting
Key accounting team member for ensuring the adequacy of order backup: maintaining and reconciling the accounting revenue order database
Communicates with and supports client communication, principally in writing, for the delivery of billing support packages and in the collections of open aged receivables
Understands and documents client pass-through cost purchase orders and drivers, and matches these to billing, while ensuring proper classification of the transactions in the financial statements
Prepares balances sheet subsidiary ledger reconciliations
Analyzes billing functions and makes recommendations to improve the revenue cycle
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree accounting program enrollee; junior standing (minimum)
Understands the basis and alternative methods of revenue recognition, with experience tracking and reconciling revenues
Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills
Teamwork oriented
Superior written and verbal skills
