Project Engineer (HVAC)

We’re looking for a full-time Project Engineer who is enthusiastic about building engineering and will play a critical role in onboarding buildings into our smart building platform. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Implement KODE OS smart building platform at new sites by integrating the technologies available in the building such as HVAC, Lighting, Fire, Indoor Air Quality, and more
Focus on data normalization and data model of HVAC equipment to build a proper structure of heating/cooling for each building that is deployed on KODE OS
Utilize detailed analysis of HVAC sequence of operations and controls data to assess what type of relevant diagnostics and information can be executed for the building
Implement advanced features that allow for diagnostics and insights into a building’s HVAC, such as reports, visualizations, alarms and functional tests
Advise and assess IT network infrastructures for HVAC data communication
Collaborate with project managers to provide technical assistance and documentation consisting of above tasks.
Requirements
HVAC Controls background or HVAC experience
Experience in fields related to mechanical, or civil engineering
Ability to write and communicate in English fluently
Be excited and interested in building systems and building technology
Ability to handle multiple projects from concept through execution, meeting deadlines without sacrificing quality
Excellent multitasking, attention to detail and organizational skills
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or other related field
GOOD TO HAVE:
Commercial real estate project experience
Experience in real estate energy consumption and modeling
Experience working with building management systems and commercial level HVAC controls
Knowledge of and experience with industry communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LON)
Experience with retrofits and custom BMS solutions.
Proficient with major HVAC controller brands (Johnson's Facility Explorer, Distech ECB and ECY series, Honeywell Spyder etc.)
Skilled with the Tridium Niagara platform, including automatic equipment diagnosis and customized HTML5 web applications
