Developed over six years of R&D, over 2,000 product iterations, and backed by a dozen patent-pending innovations, Eli’s award-winning platform turns hormones into measurable signals you can track and improve. Just as the thermometer and glucometer have transformed health for millions, Eli’s platform is poised to be the next major evolution in tracking changes in stress, endurance, sleep, and more.

About the role

We are seeking a Research Assistant to join our Product team and advance Eli’s scientific publishing and research initiatives. This role reports directly to the Product Manager and plays a critical part in ensuring our technology, features, and communications are grounded in rigorous scientific evidence.

What You’ll Do

Scientific Publishing & Research Support

Lead and support Eli’s scientific publishing efforts, with a primary focus on producing high-quality, evidence-based outputs, including:

  • Peer-reviewed manuscripts

  • White papers and technical reports

  • Narrative reviews and validation studies

  • Other scientific and evidence-based publications

Manuscript Development & Submission

Draft, edit, and prepare scientific documents for submission, including:

  • Peer-reviewed journal manuscripts

  • White papers and technical briefs

  • Narrative reviews and study reports

Leverage AI and scientific research tools to support evidence synthesis and first-draft development, while applying rigorous critical review and refinement to ensure scientific integrity, clarity, and accuracy.

Support the end-to-end publication workflow, including:

  • Reference management and citation accuracy

  • Figure and table development

  • Formatting for target journals or publication outlets

  • Coordinating submission logistics and revisions

Scientific Collaboration

Work closely with Eli’s Medical Director and senior clinicians/scientists to ensure:

  • Strong study design and scientific framing

  • Accuracy and appropriate positioning of findings

  • Thoughtful and strategic responses to peer-review feedback

This role requires both scientific rigor and strong writing ability, with the discernment to critically evaluate literature, synthesize evidence, and contribute meaningfully to publication-quality work.

The Bigger Picture

You will sit at the intersection of product, science, and communication. Your work will directly influence product decisions, research credibility, and how we position Eli in the scientific and healthcare ecosystem.

You’ll help translate complex scientific findings into clear, structured insights that inform feature development, study design, and public-facing communication.

What You Bring

  • Scientifically Rigorous: You are comfortable reading and dissecting peer-reviewed literature and assessing study quality.

  • Clear Communicator: You can translate complex research into structured summaries and well-written scientific content.

  • Detail-Oriented: You spot inconsistencies, unsupported claims, and methodological weaknesses quickly.

  • Research-Minded: You understand study design fundamentals and think critically about bias, sample size, and validity.

  • Mission-Aligned: You’re excited about advancing hormone health through credible, evidence-based innovation.

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting clinical or product validation studies;

  • Familiarity with hormone research, biomarkers, diagnostics, or digital health;

  • Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment.

Why you’ll love working at Eli:

  • You’ll work with a group of talented and mission-driven people eager to improve lifelong health at scale.

  • You’ll be part of the core team developing and commercializing the first product that monitors hormonal data daily and over a lifetime.

  • You’ll join the early-stage startup phase and have a wide-reaching impact in a constantly evolving, fast-paced environment.

  • You’ll be part of a small (<20 people), high-performing, and diverse team where everything you do results in tangible impact and shapes the company’s trajectory.

  • You’ll be in an environment where people drive their own work, think creatively about open-ended problems, and solve them proactively.

  • You’ll get health insurance (medical, dental, vision, and more) to ensure you and your family stay physically and mentally at your best.

  • You’ll have flexibility over your schedule and vacations. We seek to hire great people, then give them the autonomy and space they need to achieve their goals.

  • Although our office and R&D facilities are in Montreal, we have a distributed team. We prioritize asynchronous workflows and minimize meetings to focus on the work itself.

  • You and your +1 will have unlimited free access to the Bota Bota spa in Montreal to recharge.
