We specialize in innovative agricultural technologies and have developed soil analysis solutions based on spectroscopy and artificial intelligence, that enable farmers to reduce the use of fertilizers and increase their agricultural yields.
We are currently looking for a “Laboratory & Field Testing Specialist” to conduct R&D work in the laboratory and in the field, manage samples, perform physical and chemical analyses, and ensure the traceability and compliance of experiments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the writing of R&D protocols;
- Organise, plan and carry out experiments and tests in the laboratory and/or in the field;
- Manage the inventory and disposal of chemicals and fertilisers;
- Be in charge of the safety within the lab;
- Conduct physical and chemical analyses in the laboratory;
- Document experimental data, manage complete project traceability (from protocol to results processing);
- Write experimental reports;
- Present regular updates on work progress and tests carried out to the team;
- Maintain a clean and organised experimental space;
- Prepare quality procedures to enable continuous improvement and act as the laboratory’s point of contact;
- Resolve any unforeseen complications to complete sampling projects and experimental designs;
- Participate in the data analysis process;
- Prepare for and participate in audits;
- Participate in multi-day sampling campaigns in Canada or the USA.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in biology, soil science, agronomy, agricultural engineering or relevant experience
- Work experience in experimental greenhouses, fields and/or laboratories
- Soil sampling and data management
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Be self-reliant and have a sense of priorities
- Very good organisational skills and meticulousness
- Enjoy working in a team
- Adapt quickly to unforeseen circumstances
- Knowledge of agronomy, soil chemistry and soil science
- Knowledge of statistics
